Abstract

Climate change considerably impacts health, the environment, and the economy, resulting in numerous concerns. These effects include a rise in heat waves, severe weather, disturbances to food and water systems, and risks to biodiversity. Climate change has a negative economic impact by lowering agricultural production, damaging infrastructure, and raising healthcare expenses. In this issue, Alkhatib (2023) reveals the science behind climate change, its effects on the environment and society, and sustainable development tactics. Despite the fact that the effects of climate change could potentially impact human survival globally, there are numerous ways we can prepare for and adapt to these shifts. These include creating early warning systems for extreme events like heat waves, increasing public awareness, and making sure infrastructure is constructed to handle projected future climate changes.
